SUMMARY:Tuesday Night Book Group: Sunday In-Person Lent Series
DESCRIPTION:Sundays\, February 26th\, March 19th\, March 26th & April 2nd\, from 12:15 PM to 1:15 PM \nAbandonment to the will of God is the goal of the Christian life. And yet\, surrendering everything over to God remains very difficult for the vast majority of us.  What we need to realize is that while giving ourselves over to God’s perfect will is absolutely necessary\, it’s a gradual\, step-by-step process of growth. \nJoin the Tuesday Night Book Group in person at the Parish House four Sundays during Lent after the 11 AM Masses to discuss what’s been called “The Secret of Peace and Happiness”:  Total Abandonment to God’s Will. \nWe’ll journey through this course of ten 12-to-15-minute video lessons (accessed free via ScienceOfSainthood.com) created by Matthew Leonard. \nOur study will be supplemented by select passages from two spiritual classics: Trustful Surrender to Divine Providence by Fr. Jean Baptiste Saint Jure\, SJ\, & St. Claude de la Colombiere\, SJ\, and Abandonment to Divine Providence by Fr. Jean-Pierre de Caussade\, SJ. \nRegistration is required\, as in-person participation will be limited to 15 people (who will receive free workbooks)\, but everyone can participate virtually via an online discussion group taking place every Tuesday morning during Lent at 9:30 AM. \nTo register to attend and to receive details\, please email “God’s Will” (and your preference of in-person vs. online participation) to tuesdaynightbookgroup@gmail.com. \nAll are welcome.
