DESCRIPTION:The Tuesday Night Book Group will be reading and discussing CONVERSION: Spiritual Insights Into An Essential Encounter with God by Fr. Donald Haggerty via Zoom\, over six weeks beginning Tuesday\, April 6th\, through Tuesday\, May 11th. \nFr. Haggerty\, the longtime spiritual director for (St.) Mother Teresa’s Missionaries of Charity\, will join us for two of the six sessions.  Ideal reading for anyone seeking to deepen their relationship with God\, CONVERSION explores the essential elements of a soul’s return to God\, including the repercussions of sin\, the proper understanding of mercy\, and the importance of a more radical response to God’s will.  Special graces including love for the poor\, simplicity of lifestyle\, and devotion to the Eucharist will also be discussed.  All are welcome\, and participants are asked to commit to attending at least four of the six scheduled sessions; contact karenpagenyc@gmail.com.

SUMMARY:How Do Catholics Read the Bible?
DESCRIPTION:While many Americans approach scripture from a literalist perspective\, the Catholic tradition embraces much richer methods of interpretation. Our class meetings will examine both contemporary and traditional ways of reading Scripture. Above all\, we will reflect on how our church hears the Word and responds under the Spirit’s guidance. \nBrian B. Pinter\, Pastoral Associate\, will present. \nTo RSVP\, email brianbpinter@gmail.com.
