DESCRIPTION:Join the Tuesday Night Book Group on a Saturday Midday Field Trip—to hear a one-hour lecture on St. Bernard of Clairvaux (1090-1153)\, a key figure in the unfolding of Christian spirituality who left his mark in emphasizing the importance of Lectio Divina and contemplation and on the whole rest of our tradition. After the talk on St. Bernard\, who urged that we can all “dare to aspire to mystical marriage with the Word” (Sermon 83)\, there will be an optional 1-3 pm guided meditation based on St. Bernard’s writings to encourage us to enter more deeply into the love of God.\n\nTo register to attend\, email karenpagenyc@gmail.com.\n\nAll are welcome.
