SUMMARY:Bread-Making and Faith-Sharing
DESCRIPTION:Join the Ignatian Interfaith Ministry as we share in an interfaith community building\, bread-baking activity during which we will share our sacred stories of where we have found meaning in our lives that refresh our souls. Rabbi Joel Mosbacher of Temple Shaaray Tefila will be leading us in a 90-minute program. During this time\, we will make dough from scratch\, braid the dough\, and then take it home with instructions about how to bake it either immediately or at a later time. This is a wonderful opportunity for fellowship and learning a new skill. \nRegistration is required. Space is limited.\n\nThe registration deadline is Wednesday\, May 31st. \nRegistration for this event is now closed.

DESCRIPTION:Join the Tuesday Night Book Group on a Saturday Midday Retreat in Manhattan to hear a one-hour talk on Saint Faustina Kowalska (1905-1938). This “Secretary of Mercy” received a message of Divine Mercy from the Lord Jesus that has continued to transform lives\, from Saint John Paul II (which will be emphasized in the talk) to our own day. At 1 pm\, we will be led in a guided meditation based on passages from Saint Faustina’s Diary of Divine Mercy. At 3 PM\, there will be an informal social hour with light refreshments.
