Liz Picker is thrilled to join the Choir of St. Ignatius Loyola for the upcoming season. An Albany New York native and graduate of Mannes Conservatory and Yale University, Liz is a seasoned operatic and choral performer appearing regularly as a soloist and ensemble singer in opera, world premiere productions and concert series with New York City Opera, Santa Fe Opera, The Bard Music Festival, The Church of St. John the Divine, Riverside Church, Grace Church and many others. Liz has been featured in numerous concerts at Carnegie Hall with the American Symphony Orchestra, The Orchestra Now, and Master Voices. Favorite roles in opera include Medea in Cavalli’s Il Giasone, Hansel in Hansel und Gretel, L’Enfant in L’Enfant et Les Sortileges, Meg in Falstaff, the Mother in Stravinsky’s Mavra, Katisha in The Mikado, and Mad Margaret in Ruddigore. Liz is honored to be in the company of the best musicians in town and looks forward to a year of incomparable music-making!
