Mikki Sodergren

With a gift of changing vocal styles quickly and often, Mikki Sodergren’s vocal flexibility has afforded her many wonderful musical opportunities. From developing new musicals for NYU Tisch, BMI Lehmen-Engel, Disney Theatricals and the National Theatre of Great Britain, to classic works – performing the Mezzo-Soprano and Alto solos in Rachmaninoff’s Vespers, Handel’s Messiah, Vivaldi’s Gloria, and Haydn’s Harmoniemesse – Ms. Sodergren enjoys variety. Recent credits include Aldonza opposite Ron Raines (Man of La Mancha), Eponine opposite Craig Schulman (Les Miserables) and pops concerts with the Jacksonville Symphony, Tallahassee Symphony, Savannah Philharmonic, and the New Jersey Festival Orchestra. Upcoming performances include the World Premiere of Kamala Sankaram’s new opera Looking At You, a return to the Tallahassee Symphony, a chamber recital accompanied by string quartet with the Savannah Philharmonic, and Haydn’s Harmoniemesse with the Cathedral Choral Society at the National Cathedral in Washington, DC. Mikki currently serves as the Artistic Director of the American Traditions Vocal Competition in Savannah, Georgia, where all styles of music are celebrated equally. www.mikkisodergren.com
