SUMMARY:Roundtable Discussion on Aging and Isolation
DESCRIPTION:The process of aging is not for the faint of heart. Not only is the body affected; it is also the psyche. For many\, aging has become a solitary journey\, either by circumstance or choice. Join us for a roundtable discussion as we listen to one another’s personal experiences of aging and how our lives have been affected by it\, either in our own lives or in the lives of our friends or loved ones. \nOur conversation will begin with brief remarks by Dr. Anthony Lechich\, Senior VP at ArchCare and Medical Director of Mary Manning Walsh Nursing Home\, and Dr. Mark Nathanson\, geriatric psychiatrist and Assistant Professor at New York-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center. \nRegistration is required. \n\n\n \n Name(Required)\n \n \n First\n \n \n \n \n Last\n \n \n \n Email(Required)\n \n Enter Email\n \n \n \n Confirm Email\n \n \n \n \n Submit \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n

SUMMARY:Winter Clothing Drive for Families We Are Accompanying
DESCRIPTION: Drop off\, from October 20th to October 29th\, at the Parish House\nClothing “Boutique” on November 1st in Wallace Hall\nIn July\, we were delighted that so many of our parishioners joined in the fun at a picnic in Central Park for these families. \nWith your generosity\, we helped the kids prepare for school. Can you now help get them ready for winter? \nNeeds: New or gently used laundered winter clothing— age 2 to adult sizes. \nMonetary donations will be used to buy necessities\, including boots\, socks\, and undergarments. \nNote: Checks made out to St. Ignatius Loyola should have “Migrant Accompaniment” on the memo line. \nVolunteers: We will be sorting the clothes in the Parish House and would love to have volunteers join the sorting party! As we have learned\, it’s always a great way to meet other parishioners. \nFor more information\, contact Laura de Boisblanc at socialjustice@nycignatius.org.
