Archbishop John Wester of the Archdiocese of Santa Fe, New Mexico, published “Living in the Light of Christ’s Peace: A Conversation Toward Nuclear Disarmament.” It is the first official document in United States Church history calling for the abolition of nuclear weapons. What’s more, it comes from the land where the atomic bomb was invented, and where all American nuclear weapons continue to be made and maintained.
