Art is the great cultural means of arousing our sympathies and removing our moral blind spots.
The Gift of Music
Exquisite music is synonymous with the Church of St. Ignatius Loyola. Rooted in the belief that music enhances prayer and provides the impetus for those seeking a deeper relationship with God. Our music staff—all accomplished professional musicians themselves—work diligently year-round to plan and produce an exceptional liturgical music program. All six weekend Masses feature an organist and/or pianist and a cantor; four adult and three children’s choirs enhance over 80 Masses per year. Our investment in state-of-the-art audiovisual systems ensures that livestream viewers can experience the extraordinary music as well.
Support Music at St. Ignatius
The parish makes a significant financial investment in its music program, but it doesn’t cover everything. Your gift will help defray our operational costs and will ensure that beautiful music will always be a part of parish life.
Lent & Easter Music Fund
Along our journey during Lent, we ask you to support the liturgical music program here at St. Ignatius Loyola. Your gift to the Lent and Easter Music Fund is a prayerful way to memorialize and honor family and friends. Your generosity keeps us connected to one another through the vital ministry of music.
Concert Series Circle
Our concert series is not an endowed program. Each season we must raise the necessary funds to cover our artistic and operating expenses. Please join us in making these extraordinary performances possible. No contribution is too large or too small, and each one goes a long way to making certain that music will be ringing through this sacred space for years to come.
Donors of $100+ receive their name in our concert programs.
Donors of $1000+ take advantage of our early bird ticket sale beginning June 24, 2023.
Parrella Memorial Organ Fund
The Joachim and Nancianne Parrella Memorial Organ Fund honors two beloved, deceased members of the St. Ignatius Loyola family and the greater musical community. Nancianne B. Parrella, 83, renowned musician, educator, and Organist Emerita of the Church of St. Ignatius Loyola, passed away on June 2, 2019. Joachim E. Parrella, her husband of 55 years, an aircraft engineer-turned-choral director and logistician, died on April 28, 2013 at age 83.
Donations will be used for tuning and maintenance of the N.P. Mander Organ, funding the organ recital series, and maintaining the exemplary standard of musicianship of the Principal Organist at the Church of St. Ignatius Loyola.
