Catholic Charities

Immigration

Catholic Charities provides professional, confidential legal consultations, representation and assistance to documented and undocumented immigrants, refugees, and asylum seekers.

Volunteers assist in Legal Clinics working with staff and attorneys in the intake process. The Clinic seeks volunteers who are Spanish, French, and Arabic speakers, but English-only speakers may also participate via interpreters.

Conversation Partner Program

Students meet one-to-one with a trained volunteer to improve their vocabulary, pronunciation, and communication skills. These partnerships allow students to practice their English and gain confidence in their conversational ability.

For more information, visit newintlcenter.org/volunteer.

Xavier Mission Food Pantry

Catholic Charities supports the Xavier Mission Food Pantry, which serves over 700 household members monthly in a Customer’s Choice model. Through this model, guests are able to choose their groceries instead of being offered a pre-packaged pantry bag.

Volunteers assist with keeping tables stocked and helping guests choose items.
