Lecture: Freedom from Fear—Then and Now

May 6 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

PRESENTER
Sen. Angus King, United States Senator from Maine

Freedom from fear was Roosevelt’s fourth Freedom. Expressed in the context of war, he focused on the weapons of destruction which then had the world in their grip. But he also understood better than most the deeper implications of fear and its power to distort and disrupt our lives, up to, and sadly including, in our own times

About the Presenter
In January 2013, Angus King was sworn in as Maine’s first Independent United States Senator. Senator King is a member of the Armed Services Committee, the Select Committee on Intelligence, the Committee on Energy and Natural Resources, and the Committee on Veterans’ Affairs.
