Lecture: Depictions of the Last Supper From Duccio to Leonardo

When imagining the Last Supper, most people think of Leonardo da Vinci’s interpretation. However, the depiction of the Last Supper goes as far back as the 5th and 6th centuries.

In this presentation, Dr. Cook—Distinguished Teaching Professor of History at SUNY Geneseo—will look at the developments and variations of the iconography and then brings us into the modern world with images from Ethiopia, Peru, and Laos.
