Laudato Si’/Care of Creation Book Discussion: Inconspicuous Consumption

All are welcome to join us in discussion of Inconspicuous Consumption by Tatiana Schlossberg.

Inconspicuous Consumption: The Environmental Impact You Don’t Know You Have is a 2019 book by former New York Times science writer Tatiana Schlossberg that reveals the hidden environmental and carbon costs of our everyday habits

The book explores unseen ecological impacts by dividing them into four main areas:

• Internet and technology: Streaming video, data centers, cloud storage, and electronic waste.
• Food: Agriculture, meat production, organic farming, and food waste.
• Fashion: Fast fashion, synthetic polyester production, and microplastic shedding from laundry.
• Fuel: Transportation, ride-sharing, and electricity generation

We will meet on Tuesdays at 1 PM in the Parish House. Join us Tuesday, September 29th to Tuesday, November 24th.
