Lector Training Workshop

James McGowan works at the Jewish Guild for the Blind recording materials for their clients. He also trains those who assist in this work. In addition, he trains the lectors who serve at Holy Name Parish on the West Side.
James will discuss best practices and techniques for those called to proclaim the Word of God in church.
This is an opportunity for all of our lectors to consider ways in which they might strengthen their proclamation of the word so that parishioners can better hear and comprehend what is proclaimed.
We hope all of our lectors will want to participate in this session.

James will also offer small group workshops of no more than 5 persons to allow those lectors who desire an opportunity to work with him to enhance their proclamation of the word.
We will discuss the scheduling of these workshops at the conclusion of this presentation.
