PRESENTER: Anne Williams-Isom, New York City Deputy Mayor for Health and Human Services
This lecture will discuss the foundations, challenges, opportunities, and lessons for leaders as America works to deliver on FDR’s “Freedom from Want.” Deputy Mayor Williams-Isom will delve into areas including poverty, equity issues, the ongoing asylum humanitarian crisis, and how we, as leaders of faith, can advance the well-being of New Yorkers and the people we serve.
About the Presenter
Anne Williams-Isom is a nonprofit executive, attorney, and educator with more than 25 years of leadership and management experience in large, complex organizations. Ms. Williams-Isom currently serves as Deputy Mayor for Health and Human Services and has been a proponent of children’s rights and advocate for underserved Americans her entire professional life. She currently serves as the James R. Dumpson Chair in Child Welfare Studies at the Graduate School of Social Service at Fordham University.
