Tuesday Night Book Group: Saturday Midday Field Trip

Join the Tuesday Night Book Group on a Saturday Midday Field Trip to hear a one-hour talk on Christian existentialist Soren Kierkegaard (1813-55).
For those with complicated hearts, Kierkegaard leads to simplicity. Those asleep to what is crucial in life, he awakens. To those who feel distant from God, he unfolds the immediacy of Jesus Christ as one contemporaneous with us. To those aimlessly immersed in the swamp of distractions, Kierkegaard shows how to live a meaningful existence by choosing the “One Thing Necessary.” After the noon talk, there will be an optional 1 PM to 3 PM guided meditation to allow Kierkegaard’s writings to take us deeper into the interior life.
