Tuesday Night Book Group: Saturday Field Trip

Join the Tuesday Night Book Group on a Saturday Midday Field Trip to hear a one-hour talk on Hadewijch of Antwerp, a 13th-century poet and mystic who knew intimately a passionate God who freely and generously invited her to share in that passion–and calls us to do the same. Such a passion involves “a transformation in which service to others, healing, relief, comfort, hope, and forgiveness take on a radically new character. The experience of passion wounds with the fire of love and opens the door to the utter fullness of humanity in God.”

After the talk on Hadewijch, there will be an optional 1 PM to 3  PM guided meditation based on Hadewijch’s writings, which suggest her expansive knowledge of religious figures including St. Augustine.
